Five Spice Peanute Butter Cookies

My mother’s copy of the Joy of Cooking has been calling to me lately. I added 1 Tb 5-Spice powder and 1 tsp powdered ginger to the basic recipe.

Yesterday I snagged some radishes at the farmer’s market. They are currently roasting with some mushrooms and garlic olive oil. I just tested one and the bitter flavor is gone. They’re sweet and spicey and just oh so good.
